Key Highlights of Union Budget 2021-22

Here are the key highlights of budget 2021:

1. Income tax relaxation for senior citizens if their source of income includes only pension and interest income.
2. Aim to complete 11,000 km of national highway infrastructure this year.
3. INR 35,000 crores for the Covid-19 vaccine.
4. PM Aatmanirbhar Swastha Bharat to be launched with an outlay of INR 64,180 crores over 6 years.
5. The Urban Swachh Bharat scheme will be implemented with an outlay of over INR 1.4 lakh crores.
6. INR 3.05 lakh crores outlay for the power sector.
7. Infusion of INR 20,000 crores for public sector bank.
8. Definition of small companies to be revised by raising the capital base to INR 2 crores from the current limit of INR 50 lakhs.
9. INR 18,000 crores scheme to increase public transport in urban areas.
10. INR 1.10 lakhs crore outlay for railways out of which INR 1.7 lakh crores are for capital expenditure.
11. INR 2,217 crores for 42 urban centers to tackle the problem of Air Pollution.
12. INR 1,500 crores for promoting a digital mode of payment.
13. Jal Jeevan Mission gets an outlay of INR 2.87 lakh crores.
